Is anyone else like new and way lost?
I seem to be gathering tons of gems, but I have no real clue how to use them. Like what is their purpose, do I NEED them or are they just there if I want them for whatever they are for? Like what do they do?
ALSO what do the things you cook at the berry garden do they sell for like 1 PD which is so low its not worth selling so, do they have a purpose?
Am I just like slow in the head or is this a common newbie problem, like how do I pokemon guys, how do I even pokemon xD

So I am definitely new to not just this site but web based browser games like this entirely. When I first joined I was all like "I'm just going to get an Eevee, breed the crap out of it, have all the Eeveutions and be all proud of myself", somehow instead I'm all like "must find male avd female of each pokemon, must have symmetry, do all the things...
How did my plan evolve into some weird almost noahs ark esque thing, like what happened to the plan.
ANYWAYS HERES THE POINT:
Who else joined with a goal or point but veered entirely off course like me?
